MACK, Vicki Lynn

April 16, 1952 — August 29, 2023

Born on April 16, 1952, in Rosetown, Saskatchewan, Vicki Lynn Mack went home to be with the Lord on August 29, 2023, in Kelowna, British Columbia.

She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Will Mack; 5 children Melanie Paquette, Darryl (Jen) Paquette, Shawn Mack, Wendy Mack, and Roger Mack; 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister Barb Wilson, as well as brothers Doug (Ray) Wilson, and Tracy (Elina) Nickell.

At the age of 18, being the free spirit that she was, Vicki made her way to Kamloops, BC. There she met and married her first husband and had two children, Melanie and Darryl. Shortly thereafter, Vicki became a single Mom of two but as fate would have it, while Will was visiting his two children, Wendy and Roger, in Kamloops, their paths crossed and it was love at first sight. Their love quickly blossomed and brought them together to reside in West Kelowna, where they welcomed Shawn to complete their blended family.

Vicki was an amazing homemaker, with her baking, gardening, and sewing skills put to constant use for her family, as well as for others in the neighbourhood. For over 25 years, Vicki also gave of her time and efforts in the kitchen at Lakeview Heights Baptist Church. But of all the roles she had in her lifetime, the one she relished the most was the role of “Nana” to her 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She would always give a listening, nonjudgmental ear, hearing about their latest adventures and sharing in their stories and ending every visit with a big hug and “I love you, sweetie!” Vicki was always there with a listening ear, a warm smile, and an all-embracing, lasting hug. She had a contagious laugh and a great sense of humour, which will be missed by all of those who knew her.

The family would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses in the ICU at Kelowna General Hospital for their constant care and kindness for Vicki during her last days.

A Celebration of Life to honour Vicki Lynn will be held on September 23, 2023, at 1:00 PM, at Lakeview Baptist Heights Church, 2630 Alhambra Drive, West Kelowna, BC.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
