We Remember

McCORMACK, James G.

September 29, 1947 — May 11, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce on the sudden passing of Jim McCormack on May 11, 2021, after a very short illness. Predeceased by his father and his father-in-law, Jim leaves to mourn his beloved wife, Sylvia; his daughter Kerri (Sean) and his darling granddaughters Mya, Paige, and Karmyn; his mother and mother-in-law; brother John (Joan) and sisters Diane (Alan) and Mary (Patrick); sister-in-law Karen and brother-in-law Bruce (Sue); numerous nieces and nephews; relatives in England, Scotland, and Germany; as well as many dear friends.

Jim, you will be sorely missed by all.

No Funeral Service will be held by Jim’s request.  A small gathering of family and close friends will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made, in Jim’s name, to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Until we meet again my darling!

Condolences

  • Eve says:

    Dear Sylvia and Family,
Sending my sincere condolances for your loss. Jim was my high school English teacher at George Elliot, and he was my favorite HS teacher! He had a great sense of humor, and had a wonderful demeanor. I had the pleasure of working with Jim at OC, as he was a member of our Portfolio. He was a wonderful English Language instructor as well. Thinking of you in your time of sorrow.

  • Norm Mawhinney says:

We were saddened to hear of Jim’s passing. My wife and I enjoyed social activities with Jim back in the late ‘70s and remember him as such a genuine person, so easy to spend time with. Our sincerest condolences for your loss.

  • Wade and Sandra Jenson says:

    Sylvia and family,
We are so sorry to learn of your loss. Jim was such a kind and gentle soul. Our kids still recall Jim showing them the latest cactus or goodie to share that he had grown in his backyard – strawberries were always a favourite! May your memories bring you comfort. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
