Jason McIntyre passed away peacefully at his home, Cottonwoods Care Home in Kelowna, BC, at the tender age of 50, at 1:11 pm.

Throughout his life, Jason faced numerous challenges, particularly on a physical level. Yet, in the face of adversity, he exemplified unwavering strength and an indomitable spirit that inspired all who had the privilege of knowing him.

As Jason’s body encountered limitations, he embarked on a profound spiritual journey, finding solace and inner fortitude within his mind and soul. He approached life with unwavering determination, always giving his very best in every circumstance. His resilience and positive mindset left an everlasting impact on those whose lives he touched.

Jason held his circle of friends in the highest regard, considering them an extension of his own family. The bonds he forged with these cherished individuals were a constant source of gratitude and joy. Jason’s genuine appreciation for his loved ones mirrored his compassionate nature and generous heart. Among his nearest and dearest, his pre-deceased sister held a special place within his heart as did Kelly’s daughter Ashley and Aussie Shepherd Bobo, both who brought him immeasurable love and joy.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers at Kelowna General Hospital, 3 Links Manor, and Cottonwoods Care Home, who provided exceptional care and support to Jason. Their dedication and compassion were deeply appreciated.

Jason will forever be remembered as someone who embodied gratitude, irrespective of life’s circumstances. His unwavering commitment to finding hope and maintaining a grateful perspective illuminated the lives of many. His presence left an indelible mark on our hearts, reminding us to embrace every moment with resilience and appreciation.

In addition to his remarkable qualities, Jason’s greatest triumph was his journey to sobriety and recovery. Celebrating 10 years of sobriety this year, he became an inspiration and a source of strength for countless individuals facing similar challenges. Jason’s story illuminated the path to healing, proving that sobriety is attainable regardless of the obstacles encountered.

We invite all those who knew and loved Jason to join us in a heartfelt celebration of his life at the Kalano Club, located at 2108 Vasile Road, Kelowna, BC on Saturday, July 8, 2023, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. This gathering will provide an opportunity to honor Jason’s memory and share cherished stories that encapsulate his spirit.

May Jason’s soul find eternal peace, and may we find solace in the enduring memories we hold dear. In loving memory of Jason McIntyre, an extraordinary individual whose presence will be forever missed by many.
