We Remember
SCHIECK, Stanley Edward
June 7, 1936 — March 28, 2026
Stanley Edward Schieck, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, went to be with the Lord on March 28, 2026, at the age of 89.
Left to hold him dear to their hearts are those he loved most, including his wife of 68 years, Margrit Schieck; children David Schieck (Cindy Adams), Barbara (John) Prescott, and Jeremy Schieck; grandchildren Camille Adams (Logan), Kalim Schieck (Catherine), Charlotte Adams, James (Janika) Prescott, and Miranda (Michael) Anderson; and great-grandchildren Elodie, Chloe, Elias, and Bjorn.
Stan was born on June 7, 1936, in Wainwright, Alberta to Theodore and Myra (née Firestone) Schieck. Known for his great sense of humour and larger-than-life personality, Stan was truly a character who could make anyone smile. He was a generous man, always willing to lend a hand or give what he could to others, and his dedication to his church and faith was a steady and guiding presence throughout his life.
Stan had a deep love for the outdoors, spending countless hours fishing and hunting, passions he carried well into his 70s as an avid hunter. He was a hardworking man who believed in building something of his own, starting a business at the age of 62 and continuing to work until his retirement at 82. In quieter moments, he enjoyed playing cards, as well as Farkle, and sharing laughter with those around him.
Above all, Stan loved his family deeply and took great pride in the life he built with them. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Buzz and I are saddened by the loss of Stan He was a mentor and a very good friend He will be missed by Marg , his family, and all who knew him
I know that Barbara and Stan shared my happy times together as children. The smile that you have chosen for Stan’s picture is how i remember him; always meeting life with a smile.
My condolences. Stan was a very kind man and will be greatly missed. I would see him off and on for over 30 years and always looked forward to seeing that smile and hearing the latest joke.
Stan was an amazing man, I always called him Uncle Stan, even though he was not a relative, I felt like he was another Father figure. I remember so many vivid and memorable memories hunting and fishing. Stan was my Father’s best friend and ally they did so many things together, always a true outdoorsman. Stan will truly be missed, but I feel he and my Father are in heaven just having a great time now.
The Phillips Family sends our true condolences, Doreen, Crystal, Debbie, Corey, Cohen, and Milan.

My deepest condolences to Margrit and family. I enjoyed the opportunity to work with Stan on a part time basis after taking semi-retirement. I often felt, I would have liked to have joined forces with him earlier in my career. He was a man with a generous heart, great honesty and integrity, loyal to his customers and his employees. He will be fondly remembered. May his soul rest in peace.
Margarit and family – we send our deepest condolences and love to you all. We learned so much about grace, a sense of humour and how to live by honour and value from Stan. Curtis valued his wisdom and kindness. He especially loved his sense of humour and enjoyed joking with him in the lab in Okotoks. We are grateful to have know him. Margarit we wish for you to hold onto the beautiful memories you made with Stan and truly hope they comfort you at this time. Love and hugs – The Pollard Family
Our sincere condolences to Marg and Family.
We met Stan and Marg 53 years ago thru Amway. Stan built an incredible Amway business organization0. The reason he was so successful and loved by so many is because he was an amazing People person. He was a fabulous teacher but he had an incredible way of using dry humor. We spent 50 years of laughter whether it was Stan teaching us how to drink LOC to Body Surfing in Hawaii, bargaining in Tijuana Mex. to getting 8 people into a small car. 50 year of unbelievable fun and laughter. He was a great Sport to try anything. He will be so greatly missed by us.
We remember Stan and Marg so well from our time in the Amway business. Our sincere condolences to you, Marg, and all the family. Murray and Joy
