STARLING, Susan Margaret

December 1945 – July 2020
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Susan Margaret Starling (74), our loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all whose lives she touched. She passed away on July 7, 2020, peacefully with family at her side.
Susan was born in December 1945 to David and Helen Wemyss. She is survived by her husband Gordon Starling; brother and his wife Jim and Mary Wemyss; children Glen Martin and Tracey Elden; stepchildren Shelly Starling-Brisebois, David Starling, and Gordon Starling Jr; grandchildren Erica and Brooklyn Elden; step-grandchildren Jacob Starling, Aaron Starling-Brisebois, Savannah Starling-Brisbois; and close cousins Margaret Duke, Cathy Simari, Liz Duke and Dorothy Lepine. Susan was predeceased by her late husband Paul Martin on June 10, 2003.
Susan had a vivacious personality, was always smiling, and loved being active. She was an avid skier at Silver Star Mountain and enjoyed working-out regularly at the gym. Susan loved her home in Kelowna, BC and caring for her beautiful garden.
Susan had dedicated her working years to counselling children and families. She had a gift for helping and supporting others. Susan’s warm smile and kind heart was appreciated by all that knew her. After retirement, Susan volunteered with the RCMP Community Policing Services.

So very sorry to hear this. Susan was such a lovely lady, with her warm smile. Praying God’s comfort and peace.
Heart felt wishes to my Father and family. Sue will be missed a great deal my so many that she has touched over the many great years of her life.
