We Remember
WALL, Lawrence
—
December 1924 – July 2021
Lawrence Wall, the last surviving sibling of five, a devoted husband, father and grandfather, peacefully passed away on July 24, 2021, in Kelowna, BC at the age of 96 years.
Born in Saskatoon, SK to the late Samuel and Kathleen Wall in December 1924, Lawrence came to Kelowna in 1938 and married Lillian (d. 2010) on August 25, 1951. From 1954 to 1985, he worked at Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC).
Lawrence was hardworking, helpful, and humble, and he was a true friend to all that knew him. He enjoyed the outdoors: fly-fishing, camping, and travelling with the trailer club were all things he loved. He also loved planning annual hunting trips with his friends and family. He was a great organizer and belonged to the Kinsman Club. Many friends and family smiled and laughed in his company, as he was a humorous storyteller.
Lawrence was very family oriented, and his family misses him dearly, including his children Gordon (Linda) and Brian (Doris); his grandchildren Kathleen, Alyssa, Candice, Saphrine, and Evan; his great-grandchildren Hoss, Zacharias, Odin, Alexa, Isabella, Carlitos, and Anasofi.
The family would like to thank all the Cottonwoods staff and Veteran Affairs of Canada.
A Private Family Service will be held to honour Lawrence.

My parents Dean and Moreno Westgate lived across the street from Lawrence – he was a great neighbor and friend. Always lent an ear to my dad ….mom too. Sorry for your loss. Last we saw him he was at hawthorn park when mom and dad were there. I remember Doris and Brian taking care of his place. Hugs to all. Bev (Westgate) Barclay and family
I am very sorry for your loss and wish your family strength during this difficult time.
