We Remember
WEBB, Douglas Cameron
November 6, 1922 — June 6, 2019
Doug was born in Assiniboia, SK on November 6, 1922 and passed away in Kelowna, BC on Thursday, June 6, 2019. He is survived by his loving wife Helen, daughter Janis Webb of Comox, BC and son Donald Webb (Laila) of Castlegar, BC. He was predeceased by his brother Jack and sister Marion.
Doug was stationed in England as a Lancaster Bomber pilot in WWII. Then, with a degree in chemical engineering, he worked for the federal government on the Avro Arrow Project. He ended his career as a Trade Commissioner with the Diplomatic Service on behalf of Canada, serving in Iran, Italy and the United States.
