We Remember
HERRICK, Kenneth “Jim”
—
Jim passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 1, 2025, at the age of 69. Jim fought a hard four-year battle and throughout it remained strong and courageous.
Jim is survived by his wife of many years, Judy; his children, Morgan (Jenny), Brent (Jenn), Scott (Alicia), and Madison; grandchildren, Oliver, Emma, and Apollo; and his fur-baby, Sami. We are grateful that Jim is at peace and able to leave his pain behind.
The family would like to give a special thank-you to Dr. Shaw for her dedication to Jim’s comfort and quality of life; to Dr. Gibson; and to nurses Mo and Deanna for their kindness and compassion.
There will be a private family gathering at a later date to celebrate Jim’s life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to one of the following charities: the SPCA or the Kelowna Women’s Shelter.

Hi Judy and family,
So sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. I have some fond memories of all of us together from many years ago. I lost Ross 3 years ago and it’s not easy. Take care. Diana
I worked as an engineers helper with Jim out of Edmonton Alberta for a company called Suvan and associates in the late seventies. We were working out of town up in Cold Lake Alberta when the movie Star WARS HIT the theatres and attended it together. It was really something. I remember Jim as being a great guy and lots of fun to be around. I think I met Judy once too at a Christmas party back then we were in our early 20s. I was looking for Jim for years as I also have a home in Kelowna but unfortunately didn’t get a chance to say hello again or to say goodbye. So long my old friend. Ashes to ashes.
