So deeply ‘n very saddened to see Dave’s name in this column. Something I guess I never thought could happen as Dave was such a gentle man… an amazing tender heart…. I know there are tears flowing now….’n how could there not be.. every time I would see Dave over all of these past years…He would give me his big bear hug… chat… share with me… What a blessing…… In the weeks ‘n months ahead as his family slowly begin again…. not alone because he will never leave your hearts ..or ours… Your tears will turn to deep gratitude for every second you had him physically at your side. Sending much love to you Dave my friend ‘n your loving family… who smiles easily…. forgives mightily….. and shines their light so brightly.

I shall never find the words to tell you what is in my heart… How blessed am I to have known him…

  • George and Donna Young says:

We met “Big Dave” back in about 1977-78, he and I had been talked into been on a Group committee for the Rutland Cubs and Beavers. We have been friends ever since. We worked together to start his Big Dave’s Salsa Spice Company, We played Backgammon when he was recuperating from his first cancer battle, and we visited back and forth frequently. We were over joyed for Dave when he had Claudette in his life, he loved her and his children Duane and Christine whole heartedly. He was a steadfast friend and a good man, we will miss him dearly. Rest easy Dave, we will see you again one day.
