Condolences

  • Joy says:

I am very shocked and saddened to hear of Leta’s passing. I had no idea she was sick. The last time we chatted, we were talking about going to the curling championships, in Penticton, next spring…she especially wanted to see Manitoba play!
My husband, Allan, also worked for Federated Co-op…he very much liked and respected your Dad. Through Allan, I got to know your Mom. After we both became widows, we would get together once in awhile, for lunch, maybe golf, and a good visit. She often spoke of you all, so I sort feel like I know you a bit……I met Daphne once…and Abby came to lunch with us, one time, in Kelowna.
I am sincerely sad she is gone…my condolences to you all.

  • Wendy Mitchell says:

Ken,Daphne, Donnie and families…I am so sad to hear of Leta’s passing. I have nothing but the fondest memories of both your mom and dad. They were like our 2nd set of parents (always there when we needed them). I will always remember all the suppers we shared and the camping trips out at Lake William. Leta always called me ‘Wendy Jean’ . Our family is thinking of all of you at this very difficult time and wishing we were closer so that we could give each of you a big hug !
