We Remember

JENKINS, Marion Louise

— November 18, 2018

On November 18, 2018, Marion Louise Jenkins took God’s hand and walked into the light at the age of 84. She is survived by her loving husband and dancing partner, Richard Dale (Darling) Jenkins; daughters Marjorie (Rick) Seaman, Roberta (James) Nixon, Theresa (Clinton) Merslack and Laura (Drew) Whitney; sons Stephan (Colleen) Bednarick and Steve (Tanya) Jenkins; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who filled her heart with joy. She also leaves behind sister-in-law Dorothy Roberston; brother and sister-in-law Gerald and Sharon Jenkins; aunt Doris Wilson and dear cousins; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Marion is predeceased by her brother Lloyd Robertson.

She will be remembered for her devotion to family and friends, her grace, wit, kindness and charm. Her attitude carried her through her trials – always thankful for the so many blessings bestowed upon her. She was quick to point out that there were those who were less fortunate than she.

Marion prided herself on being well “turned out” and having impeccable manners. Marion always said, “you never know when you’re going to dine with the Queen.”

With her outgoing nature and flair for the dramatic, she shared the gift of her voice through radio, theatre, church choir and opera. Family members cherish the paintings she did of majestic mountains.

Marion was the heart of our family. She loved to share the meals she created as we all gathered around the table. She compiled albums of photos, cards and letters that the family still love to pour over and cherish the memories they bring back.

Words cannot begin to express our sorrow, but we know that she has now been fully healed.

We give special thanks to “Dear” Dr. Graeme McCauley, Dr. Nima Shojania and Todd Gale for their commitment to Marion and her comfort.
