We Remember

REMPEL, George E.

April 16, 1934 — June 25, 2018

George went to be with his Lord and Saviour on June 25, 2018, after a lengthy illness.  He was a kind and generous man who valued his relationship with family and friends with whom he faithfully kept in regular contact.  Through his innovative carpentry skills, he delighted in making life better for others, especially seniors.  He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Leone (Lee); brother-in-law, sister-in-law as well as his nieces and nephews who were very dear to him.  A celebration of George’s life will be held on Monday, July 9th at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church, 1309 Bernard Avenue, Kelowna, BC.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope International, 214 Sixth Street, New Westminster, BC, V3L 3A2, www.hope-international.com.  If you wish to send a condolence, post photos, or to share a memory, please scroll down this page to the area called “share your condolences.”

Condolences

  • Tim and Debbie Boffey says:

“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:” (John 11:24). May the comfort of the glad tidings of resurrection power support you, Aunt Leone. Uncle George was a beloved uncle and friend, and we treasure the times we had with you both.

  • Alison Bale says:

Leone- on behalf of my mother Beryl, I send you our thoughts and prayers. George did a lot of wonderful things for my grandparents Rose and Fred, in Lacombe. Words are not enough.

  • Eric Rayson Min Rayson says:

  • Barbara and Gary Dickinson says:

We were so sorry to learn of George’s passing today, and send you warm hugs. We very much enjoyed our afternoon teatimes and talks with George and Leone, and you are both in our thoughts.

Our condolences go out to Lee and their family for the loss of George. Both George and Lee were good friends of my mother Leona Buckmaster who has also passed. I know they will be watching concerts/ shows together in heaven.
