We Remember

SOLLOWAY, Gord

Taken from us suddenly and unexpectedly, we lost our best friend, Gord Solloway, on September 28, 2019. He will be dearly missed by his best friend and loving wife of 54 years, Sheron; his daughter Sheri Solloway of Red Deer; his son Gord Jr. (Carrie) of Kelowna; his grandchildren Jeb (Jessica), Logan (Christie), and Kyle; and his great grandchildren Trinity, Taelyn, and Calliana.  He will also be remembered by; his sister Judy (Pat), and daughter Karen; his sister Sandy (Len), children Laurie (Brad) and Steven (Danielle); his sister Janice (Ron), children Jody (Samantha) and Jeremy (Alesha); his brother-in-law Ron (Debbie), children Dustin (Jayme) and Amber (Frank); as well as many nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Bertram and Dorothy, his brother Bryan and his sister Patricia.
Gord was an avid hunter, sportsman, fisherman, golfer, and fastball player and coach. Though it broke our hearts, we take comfort in knowing that he was doing something that he loved, hunting, when he passed away.
Words can’t express the gratefulness we feel for the overwhelming support we have experienced during these past couple of weeks.
Gord, we miss you dearly; until we all meet again. Rest in peace. Keep on hunting and fishing.
The family would like to thank Dr. Rachel Carver, Dr. G. Dueck, and all their staff.

At this time the family is honoring Gord’s request and will not hold a service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to BC Cancer – Kelowna (Sindi Ahluwalia Hawkins Centre), www.bccancer.bc.ca.
