We Remember

SZABO, Alex

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father after a 7 year struggle with cancer. Alex passed away with his family by his side on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at the age of 77.  He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Julie; 3 children Arlene, Lloyd and Stacey; 4 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; 2 sisters; and 1 brother.  A special thank you for all the help and prayers from family, friends, the Cancer Clinic, and Hospice.  A Celebration of Alex’s life will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 10:00 am at Evangel Church, 3261 Gordon Drive, Kelowna.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kelowna Hospice House, 2035 Ethel Street, Kelowna, BC V1Y 2Z6.

    Hi Julie, just saw the obit on castanet. We’re so sorry! We know this is difficult for you but God will give you peace and strength in all the days before you. Alex was ready and wanting to go home to Jesus, he’s home, struggles and pain are over and we will see him again in God’s beautiful future. …..Sorry we can’t be there for the celebration of Alex’s life but we will be praying.!
