WIRCH, Don

—

Don passed away suddenly on September 30, 2018 at the age of 66. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Monica and their 3 children, Tim (Sheri) Wirch, Katrina (Lucas) Brenneman and their children Gideon, Ariella, Elora, Adaya and Eden, and Becky (Nic Kroeker) Wirch, his sisters Carol (Henry) Jongstra and Darlene Wirch and his brother Craig (Barb) Wirch.

There will be a celebration of Don’s life on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 2:00 pm at New Life Church, 2041 Harvey Ave., Kelowna, BC. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Worldchangers Canada, www.wccanada.ca. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.springfieldfuneralhome.com.

    Mike and I are so very sorry to hear the news. We have been continually praying for your family. I really enjoyed getting to know you Don the last time he visited Indiana. He spent countless hours at our new house updating electrical, putting in new lights, etc. I had a lot of great conversations with him while he worked over the days he was here. He was so easy to talk to, honest and loved his family and God. Rejoicing he is in heaven but I’m so sorry he’s not here with you all right now.

    Please accept our family’s deepest condolences at this sudden sad passing of Don. We were so sad to hear of this news from the Pelzer’s. We will always remember Don’s kindness, generousity, his laugh and his smile and his willingness to help. The kids will always remember Christmas at your house when they were little and of course, the horse too. :). I’m sorry that I personally cannot be there to visit on Friday for the service as I have a speaking engagement that weekend on the island, but know that our love and prayers are for your entire family as you grieve this loss. – Phil Spoelstra

    Monica and family, our thoughts and prayers are with you. DON IS WITH JESUS! That was my first thought when I heard the news, his love for God, his passion for Jesus, and his heart desire to always be where Holy Spirit led him, made Don such a powerful witness of the power of God. I was so happy for him, but broken for you and those of us who knew his smile, his gentle spirit and all that made Don the man of God we love. Thinking of you, with love now, hugs later and blessings always!

    I am so sorry to hear of Don’s passing. I had the pleasure of meeting this wonderful man through work. He was kind, thoughtful, and always spoke so highly of his family. He will be missed. God bless.

    Bill and I did have the pleasure to meet Don and have witnessed the love that your family has for one another. I heard someone say once that grief is love with nowhere to go. The wonderful thing is that Don is not far, he can fully receive your love still. Our prayers go out to your family as I sense the heaviness in your hearts. I’m so sorry and will pray often.

    Oh Monica and family, my heart goes out to all of you. such a shock. Don is happy in Heaven, but it is so hard to learn to live without someone dearly loved. our prayers and love go out to you guys. I tried so hard to be able to go up for the memorial, but I just can’t take the time off work as others are away on vacation. so sorry. hugs to you all.
