We Remember

CUTHILL, Trevor Forrest

May 28, 1936 — March 22, 2014

Trevor Forrest Cuthill peacefully moved onto better fishing grounds on March 22, 2014 in Kelowna, BC. Born in Ft. St. John, May 28, 1936, Trevor grew up helping his Dad, Edgar run the family butcher shop. He graduated at the top of his class from Petroleum Engineering at the University of Alberta in 1961. Trevor quickly got to work in the oil and gas industry as a drilling engineer for Hudson’s Bay Oil and Gas. His outgoing personality and entrepreneurial drive led him to prominent roles in many business ventures including Guthrie McLaren Drilling, Belleco Rentals, TNT Trucking, Lionhead Engineering and Normcan Control.

Throughout his life, Trevor cultivated life-long deep friendships with so many that he came to know. He lived out the motto “Nothing ventured – Nothing gained” and was generous in every sense of the word. To Trevor, life was always good, friends were important and nothing meant more than family. He loved to have fun, fish, gamble and play gin rummy.

Trevor was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Gloria and her family, his sons Tab (Marcy), Cody (Lisa) and Kary (Darcy), his daughter Holly, his brothers Terry and Lance (Bobby), and his close nephew Daryl. Trevor also leaves behind his grandchildren: Paden, Colton, Rachel, Ryan, Jacqueline, Tahlia, Wyatt and Warner. Trevor was predeceased by his son Bondd and his brother Marvin. A Celebration of His Life will be held at the Calgary Petroleum Club, 319 – 5th Ave., SW, Calgary, AB on Saturday, May 3rd at 4:00 pm. In his final days, Trevor loved drawing from his memory box. If you have memories or photos of Trevor please email them to lisacuthill@me.com or bring them to the Celebration.
