Passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at the age of 90. Survived by her loving daughter Debbie, sister Ann Steppuhn (Alfred), nieces: Angela Ritz (Frank) and Jackie Forsythe (Dave), nephew Matt Steppuhn (Melanie), great nephews: Frankie and Adam Ritz, Max Steppuhn and great niece Milan Steppuhn. Sadly predeceased by her husband Ignace in 2000. Marie arrived in Kelowna from Austria with her family at three years of age and grew up on an orchard on Hollywood Road. She and Ignace worked the orchard until retirement and then travelled the world. Prayers will be recited on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 7:00 pm with a Funeral Mass celebrated on Saturday, April 26th at 11:00 am both at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, 750 Rutland Road North, Kelowna, BC. Sorry you’re mom has passed Debbie. What an amazing women full of life and sparkles. I will always remember her radiating energy. Such a kind and loving women who never seemed to sit still! I’ll always remember her need to be doing something all the time.Everyone loved being around her, such a fun spirited woman.A movie star in my childhood eyes… Sweet as coral colored flowers and fiery like a comet burning across the sky is how I’ll remember Marie!
