We Remember

GUSCHUK, Peter
August 15, 1923 — June 9, 2018
It is with great sadness and broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of Peter Lawrence Guschuk at 94 years old. Beloved husband of predeceased wife of 68 years, Norma Jean Guschuk (nee Anderson), he was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his daughters: Divanna Huston of Edmonton, AB, Darlene (Lorne) Paulson of Trail, BC, Debbie Allon of Trail, BC, Donna (Bruce) Ollenberger of Canmore, AB, and Dalana (Terry) Semenoff of Stettler, AB; son Darren (Lila) Guschuk of Kelowna, BC; grandchildren: Sue-Ann Huston, Wayne Paulson, Cheryl (Brett) Mason, Marian, Chris, David (Sandy) Scholfield, Jeremy (Lesley) DeGagne, Mindy (Ryan) Broadley, Ashley (Devon) Pickering and Courtney Guschuk; great-grandchildren: Tyson and Jordan Mcneill, Wyatt and Cohen Mason, Jordan, Deja and Hayden Scholfield, Brayden DeGagne, Riley and Makena Broadley, Cheyanne, Chase, Cooper Pickering and Avery Krazanowski; brothers: George, John, Bill and Ron and sister Irene. Predeceased by his daughter Delphine DeGagne, grandson James Huston, brother Fred; sisters: Mary, Helen, Jean and Ann.
Special thanks to the staff at Kelowna General Hospital on 4 East for taking good care of him in his last days; to Stacey MacAulay at Kelowna Denture Clinic, you made his days; to all the lab technicians at Valley Medical Lab in Cooper Mall and finally to Dr. Larry Bobyn and Lisa for all the care that was needed.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 15th at 1:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, #102-1433 St. Paul Street, Kelowna, BC, V1Y 2E4, www.cancer.ca.
