Dear Cathy,
I was very sorry to hear of Dave’s passing. He was part of my “family” and he shall be greatly missed. Wish I could be in Kelowna and give you a proper hug. I am heart-broken for you.
Love,
Erika Schulz
So so sorry to hear of Dave’s passing, Cathy! Also so glad that we know where he is. My heart is heavy thinking of your loneliness at this time especially with the recent loss of mom and dad. Continuing to hold you and other family members up in prayer!
Dear Catherine, Herb & Sherry, and Elizabeth: I am so sorry to hear of your sudden loss. My sincere condolences to all of you as you grieve this enormous loss.
I remember one very eventful mountain hike with Dave just inside the BC border.in the late 70’s or early 80’s. It was a beautiful sunny day and we could look down at the Trans-Canada highway and see the cars and trucks go by looking like ants, All of a sudden the weather changed and a snow storm came over the mountain from the west. Dave was right behind me on the trail and all of a sudden a wind gust picked him up and threw him a good ways, He came down I think 4 or 5 yards down but on the trail and was hanging on a to good sized rock. I kind of slid down there (wind assisted) and we shared that rock for about 15-20 minutes. Once the wind subsided we made our way down at a more than brisk pace! Rest in Peace, my brother.

Dear Cathy, Herb, Sherry, Elizabeth and the entire family. Our hearts go out to you in this time. It was such a shock to us as to hear of David’s passing. It seems impossible to think we will not hear his infectious laugh. Seems only like yesterday when he was coming to visit next door. Our sincere condolences to all of you. May the Lord grant you comfort and strength. Cherish the memories, keep them close to you. David was such an awesome guy.
Dear Cathy
It was surreal and profoundly sad for us to hear of Dave’s passing! Still, days later there’s a rawness that exists that will take a long time to ease for us and I’m sure for you more so. Dave was just, honestly, one of the good guys that was real and the Christian attitude just was a part of him and how he lived life.
We think of you in this very strange time in the world with virus everywhere and people not allowed to congregate. The life we are living right now is different from anything we’ve experienced in our lifetime and now with Dave gone, it’s exponentially harder for you to accept and deal with.
Barbara and I are with you in thoughts and prayers if not physically. Know that Dave was loved and respected by many people including us and even though you live a province away, it was always a pleasure to see you when you were up.
Barbara and Wilf
On behalf of the Beyer family, Wilf, Trudi, Curt, Betty-Lou and Doris we send our sincere condolences. Our families spent sometime together decades ago as we all attended Bethel Baptist Church in Edmonton. Wilf also traveled with Dave to South America for a one month trip along with others from the church, all fond memories.
Cathy I am so so sorry to hear of this news. You have been through so much in the last few months. I cannot imagine what you are going through. I will be praying for you that you will feel God’s comfort through all of this and the strength to get through all of this.
Hugs
Cheryl

Es war für mich unfassbar, als ich erfuhr, dass Dave so plötzlich und unerwartet von dieser Welt gegangen ist.

Our hearts were so saddened to hear of this sudden and terrible loss of Dave. Although we know he is celebrating with the Lord, he leaves such a great hole in many people’s hearts, most of all yours Cathy, Herb, Elizabeth and the rest of your family. Our thoughts and prayers remain with you and we want to thank you so much for sharing the service on live stream so that we who couldn’t be there could share in the celebration of Dave’s life and the sorrow of his passing. It was a lovely service and we wish we could have been there.
Dear Cathy: The graveside service was beautiful and touching today. it reminded me of Psalm 116:15. My Bible happened to have the whole chapter marked with this notation: ” Erhardt Guhl’s funeral text! ” I remember with fondness, the many family celebrations we had together as extended families. God bless you and the memory of Dave for your faithful service together for Christ in your generous and quiet ways. With love and prayers for God’s nearness and “strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow” Verna Peter.
Dear Cathy; I am thinking of you at this sad time. I am sending my comforting thoughts, hugs and my deepest sympathies to you. Love Deann Matiejewski
