Myron worked in construction as a welder. He was always very proud of his Ukrainian heritage and was very involved in his local Ukrainian church.

We are sad Myron has been taken “HOME” where he is seeing his loved family again and we will miss him. We enjoyed his company, his boyhood memories, WW2 experiences, his journey to Canada, his working life, and all the work we did in a pleasant group at our Church. There were many banquets, food, music, dancing. That is where I discovered what a wonderful dancer Myron was. God grant Myron, a generous giving man, His Heavenly rest and peace , well deserved after a life well lived. Vichnaya Pam’yat
Myron was an old family friend , relative of my fathers in Montreal. My father was also from kozova and our family name was stec. I remember Myron from Ukrainian church events in Montreal. He visited our home when I was a child. We had all lost touch. The saddest part is that I lived in Enderby for 15 years and attended the Ukrainian church there. Our paths almost crossed.. I hadn’t seen him in sooo many years but I remember him. Vichnaya pamyat..
To the Stec Family and Diana & Peter,
My prayers and thoughts are with you and the family during this time of loss. My late husband and I met Myron at his Parish church dinner, He spoke of his arrival to live in Canada and some hardships that were endured by him. May the Perpetual Light Shine Upon His Soul. Vichnaya Pamyat.
