BLOWER, Stephen Charles
December 18, 1941 — July 1, 2024
Steve passed away peacefully on July 1, 2024, surrounded by family.
He was born in Edenbridge, Kent, England on December 18, 1941. His dad was Canadian, and his mother was a war bride living in Edenbridge. Steve and his mother came to Canada in 1944 and the family settled in New Westminster. Steve spent his entire life living in B.C., it was here that he developed a deep love and passion for the outdoors, something that he passed down to his kids and grandchildren.
He is survived by his beloved wife Christina; two sons, Jeffrey (Deanna), James (Kim); and 1 daughter Kathy (Jeff); 8 grandchildren, Steevy, Kassidy, Kirsten, Brandon, Connor, Jessica, Kelton, and Adria; and 5 great-grandchildren Scarlett, Sophie, Lilah, Jack, and Walker.
Steve met Christina in 1960 and in 1965 they were married. They were happily married for 59 years, and together, Steve and Christina had 3 children, Jeff, Kathy, and Jamie. Steve was a great husband, father, and grandfather who was extremely devoted to and fiercely protective of his family, whom he loved more than anything else. His family loved him back equally.
Steve was a unique personality with an amazing sense of humour. He will be sorely missed by his many friends and family.
There will be a private family burial in Celista, BC, followed by a celebration of life at a later date.
