We Remember

BILLIS, Dwayne Benedict Arthur

April 29, 1970 — December 15, 2025

Dwayne Benedict Arthur Billis was born on April 29, 1970, in Kelowna, British Columbia and passed away at home on December 15, 2025, at the age of 55.

Dwayne is survived by his wife, Lisa, with whom he shared 27 years of marriage. He is also survived by his parents, Murray and Patricia; his sister Kim; as well as his nieces Aryka, Adrianna and Gabriella. His family also included his cats, Sikka and Meeko, who he loved with his whole heart and always had close by.

Dwayne was known as the life of the party, someone people noticed when he walked into a room. He loved animals and had a natural way with them. He lived life his way and did not pretend to be anything he was not. It was something everyone admired about him. He could seem tough at first, but those who knew him well understood how soft hearted he was underneath, a big teddy bear at heart.

He was a hard worker, the best cook, loyal to the people he cared about, and deeply lovable. He will be very missed.

Memorial Donations in memory of Dwayne may be made to BC SPCA.

We only heard today of Dwayne’s passing and we are deeply sorry. Tom worked with Dwayne at NAPA and after that we’d run into him at the Bread Co when we stopped in for lunch. He always greeted us with that big smile of his and a laugh! Gone too soon….RIP
