Our deepest condolences Ange to you and your lovely family. May his soul rest in peace.
Remembering Gordon with so many memories growing up as one of his younger sisters.. He grew up helping dad a lot in the garage and followed in his footsteps as a mechanic . He shared so much of his knowledge to us whenever we needed answers about problems with our cars. His sense of humour sometimes got him into a little trouble. My sisters and I had the pleasure of enjoying his last and special 80th birthday last fall which he described as a three day birthday party which we all enjoyed ! Gordon, when you meet mom tell her that we miss her as well as the rest of the family!! Rest in peace.
To Angie, Andrew and Robyn
Your dad (and Mom) was a good friend. We met in 1980 and remained friends until the end, nearly 50 years. Folks often thought Gordon and Dennis were brothers- and our children have always known him as Uncle Gordon. We ‘joked’ that it was always good to lend Gordon something ( car, camper, etc.) because it would definitely come back in better condition. He was a creative and brilliant man when it came to fixing things. We were inspired by how he accomplished so much – like being a journeyman mechanic- with so little formal education. We were always welcome in your home… and there was a time that a day didn’t go by without seeing each other. We could fill a book with stories of our time together. We were thrilled to re-connect with your parents and spend those last years together. We are so grateful we were able to celebrate Gordon’s 80th birthday with him. We miss your parents – and will always consider you three as part of our family.
Love Uncle Dennis and Aunty Shelagh
