GEOGHEGAN Carol
January 11, 1935 — May 4, 2026
Carol Geoghegan was born in January 1935 in Spalding, Saskatchewan, the eldest daughter of the late Art and Edith Fairman. She passed away peacefully in Kelowna, BC, on May 4, 2026.
Carol was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jordan Leo Geoghegan “Bud”, and by her siblings Carmen Fairman (Annemarie) of Chestermere, Alberta, and Blain (Sheila) Fairman of London, England.
She is survived by her son Rick Brame of Ketchikan, Alaska, and her daughter Valerie Hughes (Roland Leclair) of Holland Landing, Ontario. Carol also leaves behind her stepchildren Karen (d. Dan) Riess of Kingston, Ontario, and Kelly (Gilles) Alarie of Ottawa, Ontario; and her grandchildren Michael, Conor, Lindsey, Mathieu, Kathleen, Janine, Ryan, and Dylan; and her great-grandchildren Alivia Rose, Hannah Rene, Jessica, Ella, Francis, Elodie, Sophia, Jordan, and Edwin.
Carol is also survived by her sister Sandra Harrold (Bill) of Fort Nelson, BC, nieces and nephews, and all those friends and acquaintances whose lives she touched.
Carol had a deep love for time spent with others, whether it was lively family gatherings, meeting friends for coffee, or simply staying connected with those she had known for years. She found joy in the simple pleasures, especially tending to her garden and spending time outdoors. Known for her openness to life, Carol was always willing to say yes and try something new, a quality that kept her spirit vibrant throughout the years.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 1:00 pm (PT), at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. Cremation will take place, with inurnment to follow in Fort Nelson Cemetery at a later date.

I was fortunate to get to know Carol through her sister Sandra. Always enjoyed a visit with her wh n she came to Fort Nelson. My sympathy to you Sandra, and also to Shelley and Penny.💕💕💕
