WALLSMITH, Hilka Ann

June 15, 1932 — May 3, 2026

It is with great love and saddness that we announce the loss of Hilka Ann Wallsmith, who passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026, at the age of 93.

Born to Sulo and Inie Sivula on July 15, 1932, Hilka enjoyed a happy childhood in Port Moody. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her.

Hilka shared 73 wonderful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Paul. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and many memorable travels. Hilka also enjoyed a successful career in the tax department for the City of Coquitlam, where she was respected for her dedication and strong work ethic.

Above all, Hilka treasured time spent with her family and friends. She found great joy in gathering with loved ones and creating lasting memories across generations.

Hilka will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Michael and James; grandchildren, Erin, Jennifer, Christopher, and Courtney; and great-grandchildren, Logan, Landon, Katelyn, Jacob, and Lilly.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Paul, and her parents, Sulo and Inie Sivula.

Hilka will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched, and her memory will be cherished forever.
