We Remember

MORRISON, Wayne James

January 1, 1943 — May 1, 2026

Born on January 1, 1943, Wayne James Morrison passed away peacefully on May 1, 2026, at the age of 83.

Wayne is lovingly remembered by his sons, Jayson and Jeff Klause; his brothers, Ralph and Doug; and his wife, Marilou; along with his stepchildren, Marc Lumen (Kate), Jan Rae (Vanessa), and Mariel.

Wayne grew up in Ontario before marrying his first wife and moving to Flin Flon, Manitoba. Later, the family relocated to Kamsack, where Wayne owned and operated a restaurant, before eventually settling in Lethbridge. Throughout his life, Wayne embraced many different opportunities and careers. He worked as a salesman for 1090 CHEC Radio, later moved to Kelowna, and also worked with SILK FM, sales, and real estate. Wayne always valued independence and entrepreneurship and eventually operated his own small business, COMPUTECH.

Wayne was truly a people person. He had a generous heart and was always willing to help others, even strangers. Whether it was offering a hand with small tasks or simply trying to make someone’s day easier, Wayne found joy in helping people. In his later years, he especially loved repairing laptops and computers, often giving them away to those in need. It was not uncommon for Wayne to meet someone for the first time and offer them a computer simply because he thought it could help them.

He made friends easily and enjoyed bringing people together. At gatherings, Wayne loved seeing others happy and would always find ways to contribute and make the occasion better for everyone around him.

In keeping with Wayne’s wishes, there will be no memorial service. Family and friends are encouraged to celebrate his life in their own special way.
