We Remember

KINE, Robert Joseph “Bob”

March 7, 1955 — June 29, 2026

Bob Kine passed away on June 29, 2026, at the age of 71. He was born on March 7, 1955, and relished the simpler pleasures of life. He never took much for granted and encouraged those around him to do the same. He was a man of strong principles and fierce loyalty. You could rely on Bob for anything.

If something was broken, Bob believed it could be fixed. He thought he could do anything, and he was usually right… so long as the duct tape would hold.

He loved to fish. He loved music. He could often be found tinkering in his shop. He made cabbage rolls the way a man makes something he is proud of—which is to say, he made a great many of them. He could talk to anyone, and he usually did. He had no filter- not as a flaw, but as a kind of authenticity and lightheartedness that people remembered.

Bob had a heart of gold. He was funny. He was genuine. He cared about people- not in the way people often say it, but in the way that truly showed.

He was dearly loved by those closest to him. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Amelia; his children, Paula (Daniel), Jacquie (Jake), and Leilani (Brendan); his grandchildren, Camila, Leo, Brielle, Nora, and Emilia; and his siblings, Brad and Christine.

A service will be held at a later date.
