We Remember
WEBER, Reta Violet
July 4, 1946 — July 30, 2026
Reta Violet Weber of Lake Country passed away early Thursday morning, July 30, 2026, at the age of 80 after a difficult three-year battle with cancer.
Reta shared 57 wonderful years of marriage with her devoted husband and partner, Henry, a lifelong companionship built on deep affection.
Reta was an avid nature lover who tended to her garden and plants and could name almost all the plants she and Henry encountered on their numerous outdoor hikes and camping trips.
Reta loved living on their acreage, in the house that she and Henry built together. It was there that their life together took root, though her curiosity carried them far beyond it. She also loved exploring many countries around the world, marveling at different cultures and nature. She kept detailed diary notes of each of their trips, and together with Henry, they enjoyed re-visiting these trip notes and photographs. Reta loved to visit with friends and share stories of travel and nature. When she wasn’t gardening or hiking, they square danced regularly in the Okanagan Valley.
Reta is lovingly remembered by her husband, Henry, and friends. Flowers blossoming and a cool breeze through the trees will carry her memory back to us.
