We Remember

BACHINSKI, Michael Joseph

September 23, 1966 — August 21, 2026

In Loving Memory of Michael Joseph Bachinski

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Joseph Bachinski on August 21, 2026.

Michael was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and cherished friend. He was known for his kind heart, generous spirit, warmth, and ability to welcome everyone he met with open arms. He had a genuine way of making people feel accepted and valued.

Michael spent 21 years as a Global Business Development Manager with MicroSurvey Software. Through his career, Michael had the opportunity to see the world, connect with people from all walks of life, and create countless memories that he carried with him throughout his life. He enjoyed the people he met through his work and often turned business partnerships into friendships.

Michael had a lifelong love of sports and was an incredible athlete. He played varsity basketball at both Roosevelt University and Simon Fraser University, and remained a passionate sports fan throughout his life — especially when it came to the Seattle Seahawks. He also shared a true love for food and found great joy cooking for those around him.

Above all, Michael will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, humour, and welcoming spirit. He brought his own unique warmth to every room he entered and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Michael will be deeply missed by wife, Tami; his eldest daughter Braelyn (and her husband, Marshall), and his youngest daughter Boston; his mother Ute and her partner John; his father Walter and his partner Janis; his siblings Sarah and Matthew; and his mother-in-law Leigh.

If you are looking for a way to celebrate Michael’s life –– the family asks that you take yourself on a long walk (no one loved getting their steps in more than Mike), read a good book, share a delicious meal, put a game on (ideally, the Seahawks), or find a way to help someone in need.

Michael will be forever loved and missed.
