We Remember

MARTIN, Robert “Dale”

July 21, 1954 — September 28, 2026

With broken hearts, we sadly announce the sudden passing of Robert “Dale” Martin, who was surrounded by loved ones. Dale was kind, a devoted family man and a friend to many.

Dale’s perfect day would be a morning on the lake when the fish are biting, followed by dinner with family and friends, capped off with an Edmonton Oilers victory.

Dale was predeceased by his parents, Jack & Iris Martin, and is survived by his brother, Lee Martin. Dale leaves behind his wife of 21 years, Roxanna; his children Byron (Ayralee), Derek (Michelle), Tasha (Ryan); as well as his grandchildren, Aidyn, Healy, Abi, Deacon, Ella, Kailer, & Kayden.

If the mood strikes, take a moment to have a tipple of your choice – rum and wine were his favourites – and reflect on happy times with Dale; he would love that. Dale believed in quality days over quantity of days – work hard / play hard. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sport Fishing Institute of BC (SFI), or a charity of your choice.  An intimate gathering will be held at a later time.

Tight lines, Gramps.
