We Remember

HOGUE, Albert

Passed away on September 25, 2013 with his family by his side at the age of 79. He is survived by his loving wife Jean (of 57 years); daughter Gwen (Terry) Stallard of Arborg, MB; son Darrell (Bev) of The Pas, MB; 4 grandchildren: Kira (Dwight) Smolinski, Kylie Stallard, Ashlee Hogue (Riley Wlasichuk) and Jarrett Hogue; 3 great grandchildren: Ava, Noah and Tenleigh; and brother Leo (Ida) Hogue of Winnipeg. Al worked for Shell Canada for 23 years. He retired at age 57 and enjoyed every minute of his retirement. Al and Jean moved to Holiday Park in 1991. Al loved spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids. He enjoyed camping, especially spending winters in Arizona. Al will be remembered for the true gentleman that he was. He will be in our hearts forever. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at the Sweet Life Centre in Holiday Park, 415 Commonwealth Road, Kelowna. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation – Cardiac Unit, 2268 Pandosy Street, Kelowna, BC V1Y 1T2, or the BC Heart and Stroke Foundation, 1212 West Broadway, Vancouver, BC V6H 3V2.
