SANDERSON, Russell “Slim”

Born June 16, 1929 in Birch Hills, Saskatchewan and passed away suddenly at the Kelowna General Hospital on October 12, 2014.  Survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Lucille and their three children: Larry, Sheryl (Les) Scott and Kim Doyle (Ed Richards); four grandchildren: Merilee (Ryan) Hoffman, Kristin (Jeff) Houghtaling, Samantha (Connor) Adrian and Michael Sutton; as well as five great grandchildren.  At Russell’s request, there is to be no service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, #200-4940 Canada Way, Burnaby, BC, V5G 4K6.  If you wish to send a condolence, post photos or share a memory, please scroll down the page to the area called “Share Your Condolences.”

    I am so sorry for your loss,but hope you are comforted by the wonderful memories you and many people have of Uncle Russ.
    Aviator,hobbyist,cook,wine maker,and ‘dabbler’ of so many things.
    He was most proud of his wonderful family,and will be missed by many.
    My deepest sympathy to you all.
