We Remember
FLINTOFT, Andrew Herbert
—
Passed away on December 12, 2015 at the age of 57 in Kelowna, BC. Survived by his mother Mildred Flintoft (Blackwood), son Troy of Calgary, AB, sisters Donna (Richard) Lyons of West Kelowna, BC, Terry Blazier of Barriere, BC, Linda Elliot of Vernon, BC and Bonnie (Grant) Janz of Lake Country, BC, brothers Flint (Noriko) of Kyoto, Japan, and Chase (Blanka) Willier of Vancouver, BC. Predeceased by his father Lloyd Flintoft and brothers Bill, Don and Randy.
Andrew Herbert Flintoft was born February 2, 1958 in Edmonton, AB and grew up in Vernon, BC. He left home in his teens to take on the world! He worked up North in Tuktoyaktuk, NWT for many years with his home base in Kelowna, BC. He loved the North, he loved nature and fishing was a favorite pastime.
Andy did construction work and always loved the money he could make dry walling. He would never turn down a hard day’s work. He also spent time in Calgary off and on throughout his life. Andy had a kind heart and a great sense of humour; even if he was struggling he would always help anyone who needed it. Andy cared deeply for his parents and spent his last few years helping to care for them and being close by to help then when necessary.
Andy, Thank You for being in our lives; your memory will always be in our hearts.
A celebration of his life will be at a later date. If you wish to send a condolence, post photos or share a memory, please scroll down the page to the area called “Share Your Condolences.”
