YASUNAGA, Mitsuo (Mickey)

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Mitsuo (Mickey) Yasunaga.
Surrounded by family, Mickey passed away peacefully on September 22, 2017 at the age of 82 years. Survived by his loving wife Fusae; sons: Dennis (Wendy) of Winnipeg, MB, Glenn (Kimberly) of Merritt, BC; grandchildren: Christopher (Leeanne), Adam and Sara; great grandchildren: Hailey and Chloe, sister Alice (Roy) Tanaka of Vancouver, BC and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother Masae and Father Kakuji. Mickey loved fishing, hunting, gardening and was interested in baseball and hockey. In his early years, he was a sawyer for Nicola Valley Sawmill and later for Aspen Planer Sawmill.
Honoring his wishes, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Canadian Diabetes Association or The Kidney Foundation of Canada.

I miss hunting with you Mickey!! All I remember is laughing and your guidance. RIP going to miss you at the family dinners.

He always had a smile and a hello. I have fond memories of him at the rink and the ball field.
