We Remember
BOS, Hanni
April 29, 1932 — November 26, 2025
With deep love and sadness, we announce the passing of Hanni Bos, who died peacefully in Kelowna on November 26, 2025.
Born in Enschede, the Netherlands, on April 29, 1932, Hanni emigrated to Canada in 1983 with her beloved husband Henk, who predeceased her in 2000. Together, they built a new life in Kelowna, where they proudly founded Ducky Down – Downquilts on Pandosy Street. Their little shop brought them great joy and introduced them to many cherished friends.
Hanni is survived by her children Irene and Herman, Marian and Steve, and Rob and Akke; grandchildren Hyder, Ross, Tarek, and Hannah; and great-granddaughter Everly. Although her family lived far away, every visit and reunion was treasured—those were her happiest times.
Hanni embraced life fully: she learned to golf and was immensely proud to become the 2000 Club Champion at Gallagher’s Canyon. She was a devoted reader who devoured countless books, and a talented knitter whose beautiful sweaters warmed her husband, children, and grandchildren for years.
Hanni loved life deeply and remained joyful until her very last day.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at Village at Mill Creek. The care, kindness, and compassion she received were truly beyond belief.
Memorial Donations in memory of Hanni may be sent to BC Cancer.
