We Remember
BROWN, Arnold “Arnie”
February 23, 1937 — January 5, 2026
On January 5, 2026, Arnie Brown, surrounded by family, went to be with the Lord at the age of 88.
Arnie was a giving and dedicated family man, who was loved dearly by all. He was known for his incredibly giving heart and exemplary work ethic. He loved to make pumpkin and apple pies, and platz to bless others. His famous smoked salmon and salmon pate, would be made from the fish he caught on his many fishing trips with his dear friends. He also will be remembered for his pickles and dilly beans, and the perogies that were cherished and savoured. He had a heart for others and donated time volunteering, visiting, and giving generously to those in need.
There will be a Celebration of Arnie’s Life, officiated by Pastor Curtis Tulman, on February 21, 2026, at 1:00 pm, at Willow Park Church, 439 Hwy 33, Kelowna, BC. A reception at the church will follow the service. If you are unable to attend in person, please join the family online by Livestream at the time of the service.
If you wish to send a condolence, post photos, or share a memory, please scroll down the page to the area called “Condolences”.

My condolences to Bernice and family on the passing of your beloved Arnie. I only knew Arnie for a short time while I cleaned his home. He was always so friendly and very welcoming. May your bountiful of memories bring you much comfort. I always enjoyed looking at his pictures and listening to all the great stories along with a slice of his awesome Apple Pie. Hugs Diane
Dear Bernice & family: We send our love and sympathy to you on the loss of Arnie. Rudy has such fond memories of their high school days together! Early connections in Prince George when we would stop in to say Hello at “the shop”, visits in Kelowna at the house “on the lake”, and visits at the home “on the hillside”, where Arnie grew a garden at an angle! Many happy memories. May God sustain you, strengthen you, and give you guidance in the next page of life. Love and Hugs, R & G Janzen
Bernice and family. We are so sad to hear of Arnie’s passing. You were both a big part of Mom and Gordon’s (Deanne and Gordon Hirtle) lives for many years and we remember there was always so much fun and laughter and of course Arnie’s pies when you were all together. We are thinking of you all during this difficult time and our thoughts and prayers for God’s comfort are with you. We know he is in good hands. Sending you our love and hugs. From Deanne Hirtle (I am writing this for her) and all us kids.
