We Remember

CARPENTER, Kenneth

In loving memory of Ken Carpenter, who passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his loving wife Jutta and his daughters Kimberly and Nicole. Ken will be deeply missed by his sisters Linda, Sheila, and Audrey; and brothers Terry and Ron.  Ken was predeceased by his parents Charles Carpenter and Bertha Carpenter (nee St.Pierre).

Ken was a veteran and spent 25 years in the Canadian Armed Forces at the end of which he retired as an Aerospace Telecommunications Specialist. Prior to his passing, The Royal Canadian Legion presented Ken with a beautiful Quilt of Valour intended to serve as a “hug from a grateful nation,” providing comfort, warmth, and recognition for his service and sacrifice. He was proud to be a member of OACETT as a Certified Engineering Technician.

The military helped foster his love of travel which he continued throughout his life. He had a passion for photography, and you could often find him hiking in the Okanagan taking pictures of flowers and the wildlife he encountered. Throughout his life, Ken was a huge outdoor enthusiast. From hiking the West Coast Trail to skiing in the Alps, he was always on the go.

Ken loved learning. Well into his later years he kept pace with the latest computer technology and enjoyed his many electronic gadgets.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the BC Heart and Stroke Foundation.
