We Remember

CARR, Patricia Ruth “Pat” (née Armstrong)

December 11, 1931 — July 3, 2025

With love and gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the peaceful passing of Patricia “Pat” Ruth Carr on July 3, 2025, in Kelowna, British Columbia, at the age of 93.

Born in Victoria, BC, on December 11, 1931, Pat was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She married Donald Carr in 1952, and they spent 50 cherished years together.

Pat was the mother of Cindy, Eric, the late Nadine, and the late Mike. A grandmother of eight and great-grandmother of four, she found great joy in her growing family and their achievements. Her presence in their lives remains a lasting gift and a treasured memory.

Pat cared deeply for her family, and this love was evident in her actions: from the devoted care and support she provided Nadine in the later years of her life to every batch of cookies she made, from every plant she tended in her garden to every handmade project she knitted, Pat’s love for her family suffused every aspect of her life. Everything she made was imbued not only with love but with memories, tradition, and affection for those around her. Her stories — often shared over a cup of coffee — were lively, heartfelt, and unforgettable, always full of the humour and spark that made her Pat.

She will be remembered for her strength, her generosity, and the lasting joy she brought into the lives of those around her.

Memorial Donations in memory of Pat may be sent to Alzheimer Society of Canada.

Condolences

  • Kathy Sun says:

Grant and I send our heart felt condolences. I feel very fortunate to have been able to spend time with Pat while she lived in North Vancouver. She was an outstanding lady who faced all of life’s challenges with strength and good humor. She has a big heart, was generous to those around her and appreciated every small kindness sent her way. She will be missed, but fortunately will live on in our fondly heald memories.
