We Remember
EASTICK, Eric George
September 19, 1940 — May 14, 2025
It is with great love and sadness that we announce the loss of Eric George Eastick, who passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025, at the age of 84, in Kelowna, BC.
He now goes to join those who passed before him, including his wife, Joan Eastick; parents, Margaret and Joseph Eastick; and stepson Darren Hincks.
Left to hold him dear to their hearts are his stepchildren, Bryan (Kiersten) and Kevin (Carla); brother Lawrence (Maureen); and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Eric was born and raised in Victoria, BC, to Margaret and Joseph Eastick. He worked for the Provincial Government in the Department of Highways, Centreline Marking Division, spending a lot of his days travelling the roads and highways of BC. Considered a great manager by his many crews, he escorted the likes of Rick Hansen through the Province and took great pride in supervising the opening of the Coquihalla. An avid sports car enthusiast, he loved racing and showing his Tiger and Corvettes.
He was a very special man who will be loved and missed by his family and friends.
No service by request, so please take a moment to remember Eric.

I am deeply saddened by Eric’s passing; he was my dear friend for 63 years, caring and thoughtful. He was always interesting and fun with an amazing wittiness, so much so that the word “Eastickism” was coined for his unforgettable humorous remarks. A unique, kind, generous man, Eric was the best friend in the world to many. He was loving and loved. He will be sadly missed and ever remembered with great fondness.
