We Remember

FERRIER, James Alfred “Scott”

November 4, 1968 — February 28, 2026

It is with immense love and sadness that we announce the loss of Scott Ferrier, who passed away peacefully at the Kelowna General Hospital, on February 28, 2026, at the age of 57.

Left to hold him dear to their hearts are his three sisters, Deanna, Rae-Leen, and April; nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many extended family members, friends, and beloved pets, who will all miss him dearly.

He now goes to join his mom, Gloria Ferrier, who passed away just four months prior.

Scott was born on November 4, 1968, one of four children, and will be remembered for his creativity and his great sense of humour. He had a way of expressing himself that was uniquely his own, often through his ever-growing collection of graphic T-shirts that perfectly reflected his personality and wit. Scott was a passionate, lifelong gamer who found joy and connection through gaming communities, forming friendships with people from all walks of life.

He was also deeply involved in the Society for Creative Anachronism, where his creativity truly shone. During his time with the group, Scott crafted armour, chainmail, jewelry, and even made mead to share with friends.

Although he was only 57, Scott had lived with chronic pain for many years. His family takes comfort in knowing that he is now at peace.

Scott will be lovingly remembered by many whose lives were made brighter by his humour, creativity, and friendship.

Memorial donations may be sent to the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) in Scott’s honour.
