We Remember
FIACCO, Benito
November 16, 1937 — December 24, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Benito Fiacco. Our beloved father, nonno, great nonno (bis nonno), brother and friend passed away on December 24, 2025, at the age of 88. On November 16, 1937, in Frosinone, Italy, Benito entered our world together with his twin brother Adelmo to his parents Francesca and Vincenzo Fiacco. Benito joined his siblings, Sebastiano, Atina, Angela, and Giacomo. Soon after, Benito and Adelmo welcomed their baby sister Silvia, and the Fiaccos became a complete family.
Benito was a hard-working man of many skills. He loved to build anything and always found innovative ways to make anything he dreamed a possibility. His love of gardening was on a next level. He enjoyed watching his beautiful garden grow. There was not a morsel of soil in his yard that didn’t have a fruit tree, vegetables, or flowers growing to maturity. The immense pleasure it gave him to plant and nurture his gardens was beautiful to witness. As he harvested his work, he always wanted his family and friends to share in the bounties of his labour of love. He was so proud of his creations.
To Benito, though, the love he had for his family and friends is a true testament of his character. Anyone who met him felt his warmth and loving spirit. He was kind, funny and fun-loving! He loved to laugh and would make sure those around him were laughing too.
His greatest joy was his loving wife, Ida. The love they shared was a true love story. Together, they raised a family and made a safe and loving home.
Benito leaves behind his sister Silvia(Antonio) Ferrante and many nephews, nieces, and friends. All will cherish the many memories they share with Benito and carry him in their hearts forever.
He will be deeply missed by his children, Angelo (Dawn) Fiacco and Teresa (David) Nobrega. Also mourning his loss are his grandchildren, Matthew, Kimberly (Dusten), Nicole (James), and Michael (Ryatt). As well as his 3 great-grandchildren, Jackson, Owen, and Benny.
Benito will be reunited in Heaven with his bride, Ida who he has been longing to see since her passing 29 days prior. He was also deceased by his parents, Francesca and Vincenzo Fiacco. As well as his brothers Sebastiano, Giacomo, his twin brother Adelmo, and his sisters Atina and Angela. They are together again with God in Heaven.
The family would like to thank the care team at The Vineyard Residence in Kelowna, BC, for their compassion and dedicated care for the last 2 years.
