We Remember
FREEMAN, Grant Jon
January 26, 1968 — August 9, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Grant Freeman on August 9, 2025, at the age of 57, in West Kelowna, BC.
Born in Winnipeg in 1968, Grant grew up in Calgary before later settling in Kelowna, B.C. He was well known for his big smile, kind heart, and willingness to lend a helping hand whenever someone needed assistance.
Grant enjoyed fishing, football, baseball, the ocean, and working on old cars. He built a long and respected career as a truck driver and forklift operator in both Calgary and Kelowna.
Above all, Grant was a proud and loving father to daughters Erica (Mike) and Amanda (Ryan), and a cherished grandfather to four grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother Janet; brother Wayne (Penny); sister Marni (Donald); three nieces; one nephew; five great-nieces; and one great-nephew. He was predeceased by his father, Floyd E. Freeman.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Ross Gilbert, Grant’s lifelong friend, for his support and care during this difficult time.
Grant will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.

I’m so sorry Erica and Mandy. He was a huge part of my teenaged life and I have the best memories because of him. He always knew how to make me laugh and how to build me up when I needed it. He will have a special place in my heart forever. Goodbye old friend until we meet again.
Marnie, Wayne and Family,
Deepest condolences to you all. Grant was such a kind and fun guy. I loved his laugh best. He reminded me a lot of Uncle Floyd at times. I have so many fond memories of the trips to Calgary to see you all and yours to Winnipeg to see us. Even though it’s been years since seeing him, he holds a special place in my heart and will be dearly missed. Hugs and love to you all. Laura
