It is with great sadness when we heard of this news. Pat and I were not only commrades in arms but long time friends. We shared many joyfull, rewarding experiences.
On behalf of Andrea and I we pass on our deepest sympathy to the family.
As the President of the RCD Assn I extend the members sympathy also. Pat will be remembered by his many friends, may he RIP.
To the Hannan family. I served with Pat a few times in my career. He was a good man and a great/loyal/professional soldier. My most vivid recollection of his dedication and selflessness was during our Advance Gunnery course in Gagetown where he chaperoned me to success as I had the least tank experience in the group. That “was Pat”. He will be greatly missed by all. As Colonel of the Regiment, RCD, I wish to convey to Patrick’s family and friends our Regimental Family’s heartfelt sympathy for this huge loss. God Speed Patrick Hannan.

My sincere condolences to the family. Pat and I served together quite often in the military and I always considered him a good friend. RIP Buddy.
Lana: We were so very fortunate to spend a few hours with you and Pat in Gila Bend, AZ just last month It was so nice to reminisce about times past. I will remember Pat as Myra & Jim’s first born – He hasn’t changed a bit. We love you.
Uncle Les & Aunt Ria.
My condolences for your loss. While I never had the opportunity to serve with Pat regimentally, we did share many great times on the range as part of Gunnery Sqn. As a new member to the sqn Pat always made you feel welcomed. When times were not the best he would always have a quick witted response which helped make things easier. Thanks Pat, clear guns and RIP my friend.
Firstly, to all of Pat’s family, please accept my deepest condolences for your loss. In such times, there are no words to describe the pain and the sorrow. It was said “No matter how well a person lives, sooner or later they leave this world. And what matters is how they lived their lives and how they will be remembered”.
Although I have not spoken to Pat in many years I have always thought of him kindly. For me, he was a man of many talents, much knowledge and plenty of humour. I will always remember our time at the Regiment and his sage advice.

Sorry to hear:-(. He was my God father and although I don’t have memories because I was so young my parents have shared good memories. Another sparkling star in heaven to shine down on all of us. My thoughts are with his family.
My sincere condolences to the family, I have crossed paths many times over the years with Pat and always have fond memories, was able to have Pat over dinner a few years back and had a most enjoyable time..RIP
Very sad to hear of Pat’s passing. Remember him fondly as my centurion tank driving instructor Gagetown bowling alley circ 1974. He never panicked even if one of us had a mexican! Two tanks 4 students , 2 weeks. Pat was a great teacher. He will be missed. My condolences to the family . Too young , too soon.
