We Remember
HAUK, Dorothy “Dot”
January 30, 1930 — December 28, 2025
It is with great love and sadness that we announce the loss of Dorothy Hauk, who passed away On December 28, 2025, at the age of 95.
Dot is survived by her children, Gary (Chantile Shannon) Hauk. Doug (Jocelyne) Hauk, Wendy (Tom) Morton, and Carol (Mike) Murphy; ten grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; as well as two of her siblings, Vera (Ron) Semkow and Phyllis (Jim) Floyd; and her long-time friend Elly Huber.
She now goes to join her beloved husband, Frank Hauk, who passed away 9 years before her — to the day. Also waiting for her were her parents, six siblings, and her grandson Evan (April) Hauk.
Dot was born on January 30, 1930, in Strome. Alberta. She lived her life well, filled with adventures in travel, the camaraderie of the golf course, and the fun of a good card game, especially Crib! Dot and Frank taught their children, the grandkids, and the great-grandkids at an early age how to play cards — passing down the joy of connection, and above all, the warmth of family.
Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
A private family service In Dot’s honour will be held at a later date.
