We Remember
HOPPE, Terrence Charles
September 8, 1943 — September 16, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce that our beloved Pa, Terrence Charles Hoppe, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on September 8, 1943, in Pinchi Lake, BC, Terry lived a life marked by integrity. Pa was the cornerstone and heart of our family, and he loved us fiercely.
Terry was a proud husband to Angéle; a father who inspired Nannette Miles and Duane Hoppe with lessons of hard work, to respect others, and to take pride in ourselves; and a grandfather who cherished every moment with his grandchildren Braeden & Taylor Miles and Sullivan & Madeline Hoppe. He also built numerous friendships and will be missed in the community.
Terry had a remarkable sense of humour, a generous spirit, and a kindness that always made those around him feel valued. Whether through his words of wisdom, his encouragement, or simply his presence, he showed us how to love deeply, laugh often, and stand strong through life’s challenges. We are so proud to have been his family; we will miss him dearly and will carry his lessons and love with us always.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, reflecting the values he held dear.
A Celebration of Life, with Barbara Samuel as celebrant, will be held on SUNDAY, OCTOBER 5, 2025, at 1:00 PM (PDT), at DELTA HOTELS GRAND OKANAGAN RESORT, 1310 WATER ST, KELOWNA, BC. A reception will be held following the service, where family and friends will gather to honour his remarkable life.

I was saddened to hear of terry’s passing. Seems like I just saw him at Candice’s many family get togethers. My thoughts are with family and friends.
Lost my best friend! We had lots in common! Hockey, politics & hockey! I enjoyed going over to watch the games! The day usually ended with a delicious meal & dessert by Angele! When we discussed hockey, Terry was quick to get new info on the computer not my field of expertise! I will miss you buddy!
Our deepest sympathies to the family! Terry will live on in our hearts! We loved you dearly! Claude & Candice Levesque
Terry, I am sorry to see you go. Angele and your family will miss you dearly. It always feels like it is too soon when a friend or family member pass away. Keep well and keep smiling, until next time :).
Angele , our deepest condolences to you and your family. Always enjoyed your beautiful yard walking our Yorkie. We lived below Marek & Marilyn.
