We Remember

KANNAN, Mariamma
—
Marie passed away on August 27, 2020, at the age of 90. She leaves behind her son Anand Kannan and his wife Kim; her son-in-law Kris Reddy; her grandchildren Ashnil, Ashwin, and Davend Reddy and Keeland, Kyle and Shalayna Kannan; and her great-grandchild Laila Reddy. Sadly, she was predeceased by her husband, Krishna Kannan, and her daughter Anjani Reddy.
Marie was a loving, caring, and giving wife and mother. Her life was devoted to the care of her family. This included anyone who came to know her. You soon were drawn to her huge heart and pure soul in a 5-foot frame. She made you feel so welcome that you truly felt like you were family. She was known by numerous names but “Nani” was the most common. Her 90 years on earth were not wasted, she never slowed down, she managed to find something to do every day. Her gardens were her favourite. Her smile and soft voice will be etched in our hearts forever.
An amazing lady who will truly be missed.

Patti was very special and warmed the hearts of anyone she was around. She will be missed! Hugs to all the family.
Nani was indeed a wonderful and kind person, who raised two pretty good children, and no doubt influenced many more. She was the only one I knew, who turn venison liver into a delicious edible curried delight. My condolences Anand

My dearest ATTE (aunt) what a blessing and privilege it was to have you as a part of our family. How I idolized you as a child, you were so beautiful, warm and loving.
Atte you have left a remarkable legacy here on earth. Know that you will never be forgotten and always loved by all of us in the family. I was so privileged to have you as my very special aunt that meant so very much to me, you were such an important part of our family. If only we could have you here longer, your time was so short while you were here with us. I am so grateful that someday I will see you again and get to spend eternity with you.

Hi Anand, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember coming to your place many times for supper back in 1976 and 1977 when I was in my last few years of highschool with your cousin Rajesh, who was my best friend at the time. Your mom and dad always made me feel like a part of the family, and your mom’s cooking was soooo good. She was a truly kind and beautiful person, I am so sorry for your loss. Sincerely; Randy Zahara.
