KELLY, Yvonne Jacqueline “Jackie”
June 6, 1937 — June 7, 2025
Jackie passed on June 7, 2025, surrounded by family. She was born in Calgary, Alberta on June 6, 1937, and lived there until moving to Kelowna, British Columbia in 1973. Jackie and her husband Ted and two children followed her parents to the sunny Okanagan to build homes just steps away from Okanagan Lake.
Jackie worked in the City of Kelowna Finance Department for 17 years. She retired in 1991 to care for family at the “Kelly Compound” (think the Walton’s) on the bank of Mission Creek. Jackie was a lifelong member of the United Church of Canada; volunteering in Sunday School in Calgary, followed by Pastoral Care and the Church Office in Kelowna. In her later years, Jackie supported a wide variety of charities chose to her heart.
Jackie was predeceased by her parents, William K. “Bill” Allan and Yvonne C. Allan; her brother William E. “Bill Jr.” Allan; and husband Edwin S. “Ted” Kelly. She is survived by her children, Linda L. (Ken) Ottoson, James A. “Jim” Kelly (Wes); and granddaughter Angela A. Kelly.
The family sincerely wishes to thank the Reverend Cheryl Perry of Central Okanagan United Church for her support of Jackie and the family.

My deepest condolences to Jim and family. I’m so sorry for your loss. I know how close you were to your mom, and I can only imagine how hard this is. Please know I’m thinking of you.
