We Remember
KELLY, Shane Steven
November 10, 1976 — October 24, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shane Steven Kelly on October 24, 2025.
He will be deeply missed by all his family and friends and lives on through his mother, Sandra (Wayne) Taylor; his father, David (Shirley) Kelly; two brothers, Mike (Alysha) Kelly and Keith Pirnak; as well as his niece, Tayler Kelly; and nephew Brady Kelly.
Shane was a straightforward man with an appreciation for life’s simple pleasures and was always ready to lend a hand to friends and family. He excelled as a handyman and a mechanic, with his knowledge about pretty much anything. He had a deep love for working on cars, along with a keen enthusiasm for collecting antiques.
Shane had a great sense of humour, even if sometimes he was the only one who found it amusing. He always enjoyed watching sports, with a deep passion for hockey – particularly the Edmonton Oilers.
Shane was always kind to his friends and family, never asking for much in return. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
“Though you are no longer with us, your love and kindness will forever remain in our hearts and memories”.
Memorial donations may be made to the Central Okanagan Community Food Bank – West Kelowna.
To celebrate the life he lived with the ones he loved, we are having a ‘Jersey celebration’ to honour his love for hockey and share memories on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 10:00 am (PST), in the Family Centre at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC.
