We Remember

MCDOUGALL, Sydney Jordan
—
Sydney Jordan McDougall has left us unexpectedly on September 7, 2025, at the young age of 16.
She is lovingly remembered by her father, Richard; siblings, Lee and Taylor, and half-siblings, Freaman, Toby, and Lori; She also leaves behind many extended family members including her mother, Jamie, and her feline fur-babies. The family wishes to honour Sydney’s journey as she continues on with the ancestors including her grandparents, Jim and Jane Dexter, and her Uncle Merle who walked on before her.
Sydney carried a big heart and a big bright smile. She found joy in going out on the land, swimming in the deep lakes, and listening to music that moved her. Known for her humour and positive outlook, she brought laughter and warmth with her. Black and purple were colours she held close. She loved her friends with all her being; her bond with her dad was especially strong.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family in care of her father, Richard, at richardmcdougall96@gmail.com.

I will miss seeing Sydney’s smiling face just around the corner. Sydney brought laughter wherever she went and could warm up any room with her presence. Her love for her friends and family was very clear in the stories she shared. She will be incredibly missed and my heart goes out to her friends and family.
We are deeply saddened to hear of Sydney’s passing. She brought light and laughter into every room she entered, and her kindness and spirit touched those around her in lasting ways. She was truly a joy to have in our classroom, bringing her passion for beading, and vibrant energy each day. Syd will be deeply missed by classmates, staff, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. Our hearts are with your family during this difficult time. Richard, Lee, Taylor, and Jamie, please know that you are in our thoughts and in our hearts.
My sincere condolences and thoughts are with all the family and friends who shared her life and love.
I will miss my “Smiley” as I called her.
With love ,
Ms.K
