We Remember

MIRCHANDANI, Parvati
November 19, 1919 — May 1, 2023
At the age of 103, on May 1, 2023, at 11:20 am, Parvati Mirchandani peacefully passed on to join her dearly departed ones,
Par came to this world on November 19, 1919, born in to a family in Sindh who fostered both spiritual and community values. Her incredible life journey was balanced with western education and ancient eastern philosophy. Par served in many vocations through the years. She married and blended into a large family. After her husband’s demise, Par (at 80 years old) adjusted to international travel with her daughter.
Par handled aging with grace and dignity, the joy and serenity she possessed often left an indelible mark on those who had the honour of meeting her. She will be dearly missed.
She leaves behind her daughter Deepu; granddaughter Mila; her brothers- & sisters-in-law, nieces & nephews: Renu, Shireen, Atma, Kamal, Laxman, Zeena, Jerry, Prem, Radha, Ashok, Supriya, Rima, Kumar, Kavita, Naresh, Mili, Sonia, Haresh, Chandru, Sonali, Romi, Anke, Jayshree, Chandru, Maya, and Piotr (and their families). Par goes to join her husband Ghanshyam, and her siblings Savitri and Sukhram, and other dearly departed ones.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to make a memorial donation may do so at the charity of their choice.
A Funeral Service to honour the life of Par will be held on SATURDAY, MAY 6, 2023. The viewing will start at 3:30 pm, and the service will be held at 4:00 pm (PST), at SPRINGFIELD FUNERAL HOME, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. If you are unable to attend in person, please join the family online by Livestream at the time of the service (see below), a recording will be made available to view shortly thereafter.

Dear Derpy, Sorry to hear about your mom. May her soul rest in peace and God gives you strength to bear the loss of a dear one. You may not know me I used to live in Karnani Estate in Calcutta. I met you at Zeena’s wedding. I remember your mom and dad’s wedding also. Take care and remember the good times you had with your Mom.

There are no words to express all the loving thoughts that comes to our mind when we think about Parvati auntie. Her shining personality will continue to live in our hearts. We are grateful to have known her. Prayers and lot of love!
Parvati aunty and Ghanshyam uncle were people likes of which impact lives. God bless aunty on her journey to the other side.
My heartfelt condolence to the family. Parvati aunty was a loving wonderful woman..I cherish some very good childhood memories of mine with dear aunt.She was a motherly figure who was always a great source of encouragement and positiveness for everyone in the family. RIP 🙏.

Dear Deepu and Mila, heartfelt condolences on Parvati auntie’s passing on. I have a few treasured memories of her from times long ago in Delhi and the latest more vivid one – when we met her in Pune. Upright, full of love, kindness and charm, is how I remember her and we pray for her souls passage to be in gods grace.
Loved all the heartfelt anecdotes and goodbyes that were shared. Love only transcends. May her beautiful soul rest in peace. She will always serve as a guiding light and her legacy wil continue to live on.
